Lake Casa Blanca International State Park
In the middle of Laredo, Texas, there still remains a piece of nature.....Lake Casa Blanca State Park.
Nature
Wildlife species which have been noted in the park include jackrabbit, ground squirrel, cottontail, deer and javelina. Birds commonly seen include killdeer, heron, egret, mockingbird, house sparrow and grackle.
History
Lake Casa Blanca International State Park, consisting of 371 land acres and 1,650 lake surface acres, is located on Lake Casa Blanca, east of Laredo in Webb County. The park was operated jointly by the City of Laredo and Webb County before it was acquired by the state in 1990 and opened in March 1991.
