Legion Park

23.75 acre community park acquired in 1894 and located on Byers Avenue between J.R. Miller Boulevard and Veach Avenue. Legion Park is the oldest park in the city.

The 2 screened picnic shelters in the park must be reserved by calling the Parks and Recreation Department at 270-687-8700. The shelters have ceiling fans, electrical outlets, and are well lit. Patrons are permitted to bring grills to the park. We ask that hot coals not be dumped in the park and that all grills have a grease catch can.
