Lewisburg Arts Council (LAC)
Since 1968, the Lewisburg Arts Council (LAC) has felt that the Arts bring life to life in Lewisburg! We continue to support and showcase the ARTS in our community.
The Lewisburg Arts Council has as its mission to encourage and advance visual and performing arts in the Lewisburg area. We are committed to supporting local artists and providing opportunities for the residents of our community to view and participate in a variety of artistic programs.
The 17th season of the summer concert series Music in the Park begins on June 12 this year and will run through August 21. All concerts begin at 7:30 pm in Hufnagle Park, downtown Lewisburg. The 2013 season promises to be another terrific series. There are familiar favorites, including the Susquehanna Valley Chorale, KJ Reimensnyder-Wagner, Averie Clark: cool blue, and the Lewisburg Area High School Marching Band. The Williamsport Symphony is back, too. Two new jazz and big band ensembles grace our stage this year. And mark your calendars for two anniversary concerts: the Penn Central Wind Band celebrating Union County's bicentennial (and the country's birthday!) on July 3, and Folk Justice Band bringing the memories of Woodstock to Lewisburg on August 7.
