The library will promote intellectual freedom and literacy, along with a love of learning through programs for both young people and adults. The library will respond to our community's evolving needs and expectations to remain relevant and vital.

The Mission of the Scottsbluff Public Library is to provide the citizens of the area we serve with quality professional assistance, library materials and services which inform, educate, enrich and entertain. Special emphasis is placed on the library's role as the children's door to learning, a source for current and high demand popular materials, a center for reference resources supporting lifelong learning, and a technology center which provides Internet and online information access for all segments of the population.
