The Logan Area Public Library opened its doors in 1997 as part of the Logan Middle School. Being located within the Middle School, we are centrally located to the citizens in our area. The Library has many FREE services available for the public to take advantage of. We invite you to stop in and "Check out" what we have to offer.

LOGAN AREA PUBLIC LIBRARY BOOK CLUB: Our next meeting will be on Thursday May 30, 2013. The public is invited to attend. Everyone is welcome to join us. The Book Club will also be accepting the WV Reads 150 Challenge!
**SUMMER READING 2013, DIG INTO READING! We would like to welcome children ages 3 to 18 to come and join us for our summer reading program. The program begins on Tuesday, June 25, 2013, from 11a.m. to 1:00p.m.. and lasts for 5 weeks. We will have lots of exciting reading adventures, do lots of fun activities and crafts, and have a healthy snack each week. See us at the Library for more details and to register.
**SUPER WHY! SUMMER READING CAMP**: WV PBS will be sponsoring a summer reading camp for preschool age children. This program is designed to help children ages 4-7 learn to read through interactive story adventures. A certified teacher will teach the class for 3 hours a day for 5 days. The program will begin on Monday June 17, 2013, and run through Friday, June 21, 2013. Registration is necessary due to limited space, so please call the library to sign up! This is a wonderful learning experience for your child.
***NEW!!!***QUILTING CIRCLE: We have a quilting circle that meets here at the library every other Thursday from 6:30 to 9:00 PM.. We will be teaching new quilters and offering a wonderful opportunity to work together and finish your projects. We will be working on group projects, and individual projects. Bring your current project, or bring your enthusiasm to learn, and we'll see you there!
COUPON SWAP: Cut out all the coupons you want from the Sunday newspaper fliers. Bring in the remaining unwanted coupons to the library any time on Mondays for others to browse. We will have a box to hold all the coupons.
PAPERBACK TRADE RACK: Come check out our paperback trade rack! Bring in your old paperback and select a new one from our rack. We have books from authors such as Catherine Coulter, Debbie Macomber, John Grisham and more!
