MISSION STATEMENT

Main Street Portsmouth works to provide services, incentives, and collaborative opportunities to promote a healthy economic downtown while preserving our historic integrity.

APPROACH

Main Street Portsmouth is a 501(c)3 non-profit seeking to revitalize downtown Portsmouth and historic Boneyfiddle. To accomplish this goal, Main Street Portsmouth uses the four-point approach established by the National Main Street Program in 1977.

Main Street Portsmouth Cash Mob

A cash mob is a group of individuals who commit to spending a set dollar amount at a local business. The goal of the cash mob is to promote shopping local and to provide small businesses with an immediate influx of cash. Cash mobs have become increasingly popular throughout the country and are helping to keep many locally-owned small businesses open.
