GOALS:
To be a preservation-based re- development entity
To foster pride-of-place, by re-energizing the heart of our twin city with a mix of arts, entertainment, professional offices, specialty boutiques, and loft apartments.
MISSION:
Economic development through preservation, re-purposing, education and community involvement by providing technical assistance and expertise through implementation of the National Main Street Center's four Points of Main Street Approach.
ACTIVITIES:
With assistance from Main Street Arkansas, Main Street Texas, City of Texarkana AR, City of Texarkana, TX, the Texarkana Chamber of Commerce, Small Business Development Centers for Texas and Arkansas, and more than two dozen civic, social, and educational entities, Main Street Texarkana operates on a year-round schedule.
Main Street Texarkana - the only Bi-State Main Street Program in the U.S. - for preservation and economic development of Historic Downtown Texarkana in Texas and Arkansas.

The new Main Street Texarkana is a revitalized organization dedicated to continually improving our Twin City's Quality of Life. We are family-oriented, pro- business, and ever-evolving to meet the wants and needs of our citizens. We are passionate in our efforts to save the Downtown "heart" of our cities and invite everyone who believes "something should be done about Downtown" to be part of our endeavors.
