Main Street Van Wert

Welcome Downtown! We are Main Street Van Wert, a group of volunteers passionate about Downtown Van Wert, working and learning together and doing all we can to bring new life to the heart of our community.

We are a team of community residents, small business owners, parents, and community leaders. We are volunteers who give our time to help organize events, promotions, festivals, and projects that benefit Downtown Van Wert. As a 501c3, we are an eonomic development organization that works specifically to enhance the district and improve the image of Downtown while promoting the great stores and unique architecture. Though we focus our efforts on the Historic center of Van Wert, we know our efforts are felt throughout the entire surrounding community.

It takes hard work to be sure Downtown is welcoming place to shop and dine for both our own community members and those passing through Van Wert. Main Street Van Wert has been and continues to be the catalyst for private investments in the downtown, with more than 2.3 million dollars put back into Downtown improvements over the last 10 years.

So plan to join us for an event, shop a while, or grab a bite to eat. Once you've seen the work we are doing and the fun we are having, you might just want to join in and help make Downtown Van Wert a great place to visit, shop, work and live!
