Maple Valley Golf & Country Club

Thank You! Your rating has been saved.

Maple Valley Golf Course has been heralded as the most beautiful golf course in Southeastern Minnesota. Surrounded on three sides by limestone bluffs and the Root River, it gives the course a natural difficulty. Whether it is teeing off of the 50 foot drop on hole 3 to the green below, or being surrounded by water hazards on all sides of hole 15, mother nature has done well, making your job both difficult and gorgeous. Having been named the #1 Golf Course in Southeast Minnesota by Rochester Magazine in '98, '99, '01, '03, '04 and '05, we guarantee you won't be disappointed!

History of Maple Valley

Making your final turn down into Maple Valley Golf & Country Club, most are awestruck at the sudden terrain change of the scenic Root River Bluff Country cradling Maple Valley.

White limestone bluffs rising to 75 feet above, and the Root River winding around, you truly believe you have just entered a hidden valley.

The natural rolling terrain, mature tree-lined fairways, and natural water hazards help to make Maple Valley one of Minnesota's most sought-after and photographed courses.

This was the vision, 31-year old Wayne Idso had in 1961, when he read an article in a farm periodical suggesting farm acreages be taken out of production and re-vitalized as recreational possibilities.
