MARKET HOUSE

Built in 1870, the Meadville Market House is Pennsylvania's oldest market house in continual use. Located in downtown Meadville, the Market House serves as a venue for sale of area produce and products, as well as a meeting place and a link between the town community and surrounding farms. In its early days, the Market House was a place of great importance, and today it remains one of the main links to maintaining downtown Meadville's business district.

DOWNTOWN PUBLIC PARKING

The City of Meadville provides downtown public parking in surface lots, parking ramps and at on-street metered parking spaces. Surface lots offer reserved, long and short term metered parking options. Some lots contain a combination of metered and reserved spaces while others are designated as either metered or reserved. Reserved spaces in surface lots are rented for $35/month per space. Parking ramps offer both reserved and metered spaces. Reserved spaces in ramps have a rental cost of $45/month, for all covered spaces. Spaces in lots or ramps can be reserved by calling the City Treasurer's Office at 814-333-3345. On-street metered parking offers both short term and long term parking.

Enforcement hours for meters and reserved parking are 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., weekdays. Parking is free in downtown lots, ramps and on streets after 6:00 p.m. weekdays, weekends and most holidays.
