Mobile Botanical Gardens
Adjacent to Langan Park, the Gardens encompasses a 100-acre site of cultivated gardens, woodland trails, and a longleaf pine restoration. Established in 1974 by a dedicated group of horticulturists to preserve the natural aspects of the local environment, the Gardens have grown and developed into an oasis for the community.
Dedicated to preserving native plants and to educating the community, the Mobile Botanical Gardens encompasses an extensive variety of cultivated areas and collections. A non-profit 501(c)3 organization, The Gardens holds fundraising events during the year to raise money for its ongoing operations and maintenance.
Mobile Botanical Gardens provides experiences that help visitors of all ages appreciate and benefit from our unique Gulf Coast environment.
The Gardens serve as a living classroom for residents and visitors alike. By providing a sense of place, we endeavor to instill passion for nature, and promote interest in gardening, conservation, and outdoor activities.
