Morgantown History Museum
The Morgantown History Museum is a nonprofit institution and the first city-sponsored museum in the Greater Morgantown area. Its mission is to preserve and promote local and regional history and to make it accessible to the citizens of Morgantown and visitors to the region.
The principal goals of the Museum are as follows:
Collecting and preserving historically significant artifacts with roots in Morgantown and the surrounding area
Establishing a research library
Promoting significant off-site city and privately owned locations such as Dorsey's Knob Park and Lodge, the Eastern Roller Mill, Garlow House, the Old Morgantown Glass Collector's Guild Glass Museum, and the Morgantown Historic Walking Tour
Providing public education through school presentations and exhibit openings
Loaning displays to non-museum entities for educational purposes
