Aurora Viewing at Mt. Aurora Skiland

At Mt. Aurora/SkiLand, the 360-degree full-sky view offers spectacular viewing of the aurora borealis with dark, clear skies from mid-August to mid-April.. The University of Alaska Fairbanks Geophysical Institute operates the Poker Flat Rocket Range about six miles north. Scientists from around the globe congregate here in the winter to study the northern lights.
