Multicultural Center of the South
Established in 1999, the mission of the Multicultural Center of the South is to educate the general public and visitors about the rich diversity and history of Shreveport, Bossier, Northwest Louisiana and the South.
Through numerous cultural exhibits, musical programs, artistic endeavors and demonstrations, the Center encourages visitors to take a vicarious journey to distant lands to learn about the practices and traditions transported to this country by both long-ago and present day immigrants.
The Center, located in the heart of downtown Shreveport, hosts exhibits reflecting each of the cultures present in Northwest Louisiana that include:
Jewish, Hispanic, Native American, Irish, Cajun, African-American, Middle East, German, East Indian, Greek, Asian, Creole, Scottish and Slavic.
