The National Museum of Mexican Art promotes the art and culture of Mexico and its people around the world. Nationally renowned yet rooted in the community, NMMA builds bridges through art.
With 7,000 objects, the National Museum of Mexican Art's permanent collection is one of the largest collections of Mexican art in the country. The NMMA strives to maintain, preserve and acquire works for its collection that reflect the diversity and quality of Mexican art in the following categories: Pre-Cuauhtémoc, ephemera, textiles, folk art, prints and drawings, photography, and paintings and sculptures.
The NMMA maintains the highest quality museum standards as prescribed by the American Alliance of Museums. We are the only Latino Museum accredited by the AAM.
