Nave Museum

Thank You! Your rating has been saved.

The only art museum in the Crossroads area, the Nave Museum features six to eight diverse and compelling exhibits each year, both classical and modern, ranging from portraiture and landscapes by celebrated Texas artist Royston Nave (1886-1931), to Art Car Victoria featuring decorated vehicles from Houston's Art Car Parade, to mixed media collages by world renowned artist and Victoria native Ann Harithas, to a Dia de los Muertos / Day of the Dead Festival featuring retablos and altars created by local artists, as well as free children's workshops hosted by the Manhattan Art Program and school tours available.

Located in a majestic Greek revival temple designed by San Antonio architect Atlee Ayers in 1932 to serve as a memorial to Royston Nave and later to house the Bronte Public Library, the Nave Museum, operated by the Victoria Regional Museum Association, seeks to reach out to enrich and educate all people through visual and cultural art.
