On A Mission.

The purpose of Niles Main Street is to enhance our community identity and heritage, foster a center of activity and ensure economic stability for the heart of downtown Niles through broad based community support.

Many downtown business districts across the country have been rejuvenated through hard work and adherence to the principles of the National Main Street Program. Niles, MI is no exception.

Over the past ten years, countless volunteers have worked to ensure a better tomorrow for our community by revitalizing the downtown district, using the principles of the National Main Street Program.

Success has been achieved in attracting new businesses, giving assistance to existing businesses, making the downtown area more attractive and sponsoring promotional events in the district to entice people from near and far to discover our downtown, again.

To ensure that our downtown remains a vibrant part of our community, we need community members to give of their time and talent.

Much progress has been made - but much still needs to be done.\

We envision a revitalized downtown Niles that draws on its unique and genuine sense of place, to foster economic opportunity, creative endeavors, and community vitality.

We envision a downtown Niles that enhances the quality of life for residents and visitors alike by offering a safe, clean, and green setting and by providing a comfortable and attractive environment of accessible, pedestrian friendly streets, outstanding public spaces and inviting natural beauty along the St. Joseph River.
