Opelousas Civic Center

The Opelousas Civic Center is available for weddings, wedding receptions, class reunions, family reunions, conventions, seminars, banquets and much more. The main auditorium measures at 7400 square feet and will accommodate approximately 600 people in a banquet setting or 750 in an auditorium setting depending on your arrangement. The city does provide for your use at no additional cost, a portable stage which measure 12x24 as well as two portable bars, 750 chairs, 80/60" round tables and 20/72" rectangular tables. The stage does have an assigned area with proper lighting and electrical outlets. When renting the main auditorium of the Opelousas Civic Center you are entitled to the use of one or both breakout rooms listed as the (Oplex Room) and the (Gateway Room).

Please keep in mind the breakout rooms can be rented out for small meetings but will only be scheduled around the main auditorium not to conflict with major events. The Gateway room is equipped with a full size refrigerator, sink, microwave,and counter tops; each breakout room measures 800 square feet in diameter and will accommodate approximately 50 to 60 people with tables and chairs. This facility does operate on a 2:00 A.M. curfew. The Opelousas Civic Center is a non-smoking facility.
