RealArt DeRidder Art Gallery

In October of 2010 the visual artist community of DeRidder, LA got together to form an arts cooperative.

With the cooperation of Mayor Ron Roberts and the city council, the artists renovated and opened the gallery on West First Street in DeRidder's Downtown Cultural District. The gallery was a success and soon became a center for other people invested in the arts. Three years later, the gallery is juried and, in addition to the regular art exhibited in the gallery, features guest artists for solo exhibits each month.

RAD offers the gallery for special events to other groups and regularly hosts the Beauregard Writers' Guild and Beauregard Uncorked. Masterpiece Bayou sponsors classes, private parties, and children's art camps.

The gallery also offers art instruction to the public on a seasonal schedule. Members volunteer to keep the gallery open and offer special events in conjunction with citywide festivals and fairs.
