Richmond Area Arts Center
Over the years, the Richmond Area Arts Council has presented many concerts, art exhibits, after school and summer programs for children, established two choral groups, provided many social opportunities and has created a unique role for itself in this community. And, at the same time, the Arts Council has maintained the historic Arts Center building. Thousands have visited the Arts Center and have benefited from the work of the Arts Council. It is a well-known fact that an arts facility in a community makes it attractive for business to flourish and provides a rich cultural environment for all citizens.
The Richmond Area Arts Council (RAAC) supports the cultural development of the city of Richmond, KY by advocating for and creating the highest quality artistic and educational opportunities for residents and visitors. An active arts council within the community and region allows for business to flourish and provides a rich cultural environment for citizens.
The RAAC offers many arts activities for children and adults within our community. The RAAC has partnered with the Madison County Schools to expand the Arts Education Program to provide safe and fun-filled class for hundreds of children to participate after school and during the summer. The RAAC has two established choral groups, Madison Singers and Madison Youth Chorus, offers adult education classes and hosts art exhibits featuring local artist. We are located within the historic Arts Center building, which is available as a facilty rental for hosting your own event.

Programs and Services
The Richmond Area Arts Council offers performing and visual art programs for residents of all ages. In addition to 20 performing art events each year, we provide an extensive educational program for youth and adults. As part of the Richmond community, the Richmond Area Arts Council partners with various community groups including the Madison County Schools, local businesses and other charitable organizations to provide quality programming and educational opportunities for residents of all ages.
