Rockbox Theater

Founded in 2007, Rockbox is a live music venue located just 99 steps off of the historic Hill Country main street of Fredericksburg, TX. Our theater has entertained thousands of people since then with some of the best songs ever written. Built inside what was originally a furniture warehouse, Rockbox is a state-of-the-art entertainment venue that tastefully preserves the older elements of the building's industrial roots while adding a refined sense of cleanliness and precision.

Originally, Rockbox focused on rock ‘n' roll and the music of the 1950's-1960's, but in 2012, we began adding special events to continue to serve our music loving patrons. These shows feature classic bands that are still touring the nation as well as tribute artists and modern original groups. Examples have included The World Famous Platters, The Diamonds, The Association, a tribute to the Beatles, and country music trio High Valley. Each event is a special chance to enjoy a unique entertainment experience that is truly dedicated to the art of making great music.

So why does the Rockbox exist? Anyone in entertainment knows that it's a lot of work, but what keeps us going is our desire to release Joy. Whether it's a laugh-out-loud skit or a heart-wrenching ballad, our vision is to create the most uplifting experience imaginable. That's what we are all about.
