Seattle Children's Museum
Where Imagination Comes Alive. . . through a mission.
We'd love to have you visit us! The Seattle Children's Museum is 22,000 sq feet of play area with activities for children 10 months to 10 years old and their families. There are a number of exhibits for you to explore and you can learn more about them by visiting us . We also have programs throughout the day that are free with the cost of admission.
The Museum is a large space (bigger than 4 NBA basketball courts!) with a variety of exhibits for kids and their families to enjoy. You can shop in the Metropolitan Market grocery store or travel to Japan to make sushi! Stop by our Imagination Studio to create a clay sculpture and get your exercise climbing our mountain. Every day we have a variety of programs that add to the fun.
Mission
Our mission is to bring to life the joy of discovery for children and their families through fun, creative, hands-on exploration of the world around them. We strive to ignite children's curiosity and encourage them to become active, life-long learners.
Ultimately, we strive to create a better world by investing in children so that they may become:
Global citizens who can better absorb, appreciate, and act upon the needs of a changing world.
Active community members who see the value in working toward a common good.
Employees who use critical thinking, problem solving and adaptability to keep pace.
Family members and friends who seek the connection between fun and learning.
