Art....Music....Soul. These powerful words are the inspiration of our offerings every season and are at the heart of our purpose.

Inspired art is by nature beautiful, enlightened, expressive, powerful, and we draw strength from its' 'soul.' These inspirations know where they come from and know where they desire to go and it is up to the artist to interpret it and bring it forth.This season in a word is magnificent!

You will see our talented SWSO musicians and our featured artists leading the way through thier impassioned, expressive orhestral performances. The Cultural Arts Series of presented performers will bring the enchanted, the historic, and the iconic, to educate and inspire our community and bring the art, music and soul of this powerful season to you.

Southwest Symphony was founded in 1983 to fulfill a need created by the suspension of the Community Concert Series in Hobbs, NM. From its' inception the Symphony has strived to bring a variety of music and dance programs to the citizens of Southeastern New Mexico. Each season Southwest Symphony presents seven concerts that include three classical, semi-classical, and pop music performed by our Southwest Symphony Orchestra. Additionally the Symphony acts as a presenter to bring four performers that includes a variety of music and dance genres.
