Sportsmen's Tavern

Thank You! Your rating has been saved.

Located in Buffalo, New York's historic Black Rock section, Sportsmen's year round, non-stop commitment to live music has earned a great deal of respect regionally and nationally. Known for its rotation of country, Americana and roots music, Sportsmen's also hosts several jazz, R&B, rock and blues shows throughout the year, as well as a monthly polka party. (Now thats eclectic). Our cozy atmosphere, family hospitality and great sounding room are a few of the reasons why musicians enjoy playing here and why the fans keep coming back night after night.

Opened in 1985, by Dwane and Denise Hall, Sportsmen's has slowly transformed itself from a neighborhood tavern to one of the best live music venues in the county. In 2008, Sportsmen's started its "Private Party Series," which has allowed them to bring some of the best touring national acts from all across America to the WNY region. In that time Asleep At The Wheel, Junior Brown, Dave Alvin, Bill Kirchen, Wanda Jackson, and Poco, just to name a few, have all performed on the Sportsmen's stage to sold out audiences. And, with well over 40 shows a month, there is no sign that we are slowing down.
