Captain Ray Clarke has lived in Port St Lucie since 1996 after a career which included 30 years in the Navy and Naval Reserve during which he had three command tours at sea. Capt. Ray also founded The Clarke Insurance Agency in New Jersey which is now owned and managed by his son Larry. Capt. Ray captained a dinner cruise boat in New York harbor, a tour boat at Club Med here in Port St Lucie and a ferry on the St. Johns River for the week of the Super Bowl in Jacksonville. He has taught seamanship, vessel examination and safe boating for the past 11 years. He and his wife Beverly live in the Ballantrae section of Port St. Lucie.
