The Stafford Air & Space Museum is located in Weatherford, Oklahoma,

birthplace of Lt. Gen. Thomas P. Stafford. It is conveniently situated at the Thomas P. Stafford airport complex, just off I-40 exits 82 & 84. The museum maintains nearly an acre of exhibition and public space under its roof.

Located in Weatherford, Oklahoma, birthplace of legendary astronaut and aviation pioneer General Thomas P. Stafford, the Stafford Air & Space Museum houses one of the finest collections of aviation and space flight exhibits in the central United States. The museum maintains strong working relationships with the National Museum of the U.S. Air Force, NASA, and the National Air & Space Museum. In 2011, the museum was selected to become an official Affiliate organization of the Smithsonian Institution. by the Smithsonian Institution as one of their official Affiliate organizations.

From the outside, it is difficult to appreciate the size of the museum, which has nearly an acre under its roof. The museum's Aviation collection ranges from full-scale replicas of the Wright Flyer, Wright Glider, and the Spirit of St. Louis, to actual T-33, F-104, F-86, T-38, Mig-21, and F-16 aircraft.

A large and comprehensive collection of space flight artifacts are exhibited, many highlighting General Stafford's historic Gemini 6, Gemini 9, Apollo 10, and Apollo-Soyuz space missions, including his flown Gemini 6/9 and Apollo 10 space suits. The museum maintains one of the only complete Titan II missiles on indoor display, along with one of the most complete collections of man-rated rocket engines in existence, including a flown Space Shuttle main engine (SSME) and Solid Rocket Booster (SRB) segment. Hundreds of artifacts, many flown in space or to the moon, and representing every American manned space program, are displayed throughout the facility.

The museum has 5 areas that can be rented: Apollo Conference(Multi-Use) Room, Rose & Tom Luczo Educational Center, museum lobby, Rachel & Noble Amen Courtyard, and the museum exhibit area.
