All of what the library offers is made possible by the incredible support from the Stockton City Council, the San Joaquin Board of Supervisors, and the government officials of Escalon, Lathrop, Manteca, Ripon, Tracy and Mountain House. Additional recognition is given to the taxpayers in all the above cities and the unincorporated areas of Linden and Thornton.

The Stockton-San Joaquin County Public Library creates an environment for connecting people and ideas by providing residents of all ages with resources to pursue their educational, civic, business and personal interests. We are a system comprised of 12 branches, and a Mobile Library that aim to serve and enhance the lives of the nearly 700,000 residents of San Joaquin County. In addition to our branch and mobile libraries, we also provide Literacy Services via a mobile family literacy unit known as Training Wheels.
