Temple Beth-El is a synagogue located in San Antonio, Texas, USA. Originally founded in 1874, it is the oldest synagogue in South Texas. The current temple at the corner of Belknap and W. Ashby, just north of San Antonio Community College. Temple Beth-El is a Reform Jewish congregation, and a founding member of the Union for Reform Judaism.[1] Known as one of San Antonio's more contemporary places of worship, Temple Beth-El is very open in their support of the Jewish and LGBT community.[1] The current Senior Rabbi is Barry Block. Rabbi Samuel M. Stahl led the Temple until his retirement in 2002.

The mission of Congregation Beth-El (also known as "Temple Beth-El") is to create a welcoming and vibrant house of God that inspires a community of Reform Jews committed to meaningful worship, spiritual growth, tikkun olam, and outreach within and beyond our congregation.
