The Arts Council of Wayne County promotes and provides access to performing and visual arts in the Wayne County, NC area. ACWC is located at the corner of Ash Street and Spence Avenue in Goldsboro. Our facility, grounds and garden are perfectly suited to present and showcase art collections and events.
ACWC also supports nine affiliates that include youth theatre, adult theatre, ballet, instrumental ensembles, the NC Symphony, a children's group, a writers' group and vocal performances.

ART MARKET
Arts Council of Wayne County's Art Market
The Art Market is located on the first floor of our new space at 102 N. John Street (near the corner of John and Walnut Streets). From pottery to photography, jewelry to textiles, paintings to prints, the Art Market is a wonderful place to find unique, one-of-a-kind, affordable, works of art. The Market represents over fifty talented artists from Wayne County and eastern North Carolina.
2013 Hours of Operation
- Monday to Wednesday - 9am to 5pm
- Thursday & Friday - 11am to 7pm
- Saturday - 4pm to 7pm
If you feel the need to shop during Arts Council business hours and the Market isn't open, please call (919)736-3300 and a staff member will be glad to open the Market for your shopping pleasure.
Artists
To have your work considered for the Art Market please contact Erin Alemdar at erin@artsinwayne.org or by calling 919-736-3300. To be considered, artwork must be entirely created by you and be a one of a kind original piece of art. All painted items must be done freehand. Please submit three photos of your work when responding by email. If you need to make an appointment please call and remember to bring samples of your work with you.
