The Arts Partnership
Mission Statement
The mission of Youtheatre is to create an inclusive environment in which to inspire and enrich lives of all youth, regardless of income or ability, by providing educational opportunities and promoting an appreciation of the Arts.
We are in full swing and ready to bring our community a season full of educational enrichment, top-notch entertainment, and a Summer full of classic Findlay outdoor festivals!
Our Youtheatre program is busy as usual, and we are getting ready for our famous Youtheatre Summer Camp, and also our Summer Acting Intensive! Visit our ‘Arts In Education' tab for more information on these programs! To receive further information on registration, contact our education director, Peggy Grandbois, at education@artspartnership.com! Don't miss out on this priceless experience that so many youth have come to know and love!
And, yes, Summer is just around the corner which means outdoor festivals! We start summer off right with the infamous Boogie on Main on Friday, June 7, followed by the Riverside Wine Festival on Saturday, June 22. This year, we team up with Car Tunes on Main to celebrate Rib Off on Broadway on Saturday, August 3! For more information on our outdoor events, visit our ‘Outdoor Events' tab on our homepage!
We would like to extend a heart-felt ‘thank-you' to our generous sponsors and volunteers. Without the support of our community, these and other events would not be possible.
We look forward to seeing you at our many events, and thank you, for Supporting the Arts!
History
Our organization, originally named the Findlay Area Arts Council, was founded in 1979 by a group of visionary community leaders. During its birth, the organization's mission was to encourage and stimulate the practice and appreciation of the arts locally and statewide. The founders included Mrs. E. A. Graham, Mrs. F. F. Flowers, W. T. Maddock, Alex Baluck, Mrs. J.S. Dimling, Mrs. T. A. Buis, E. L. Heminger, Jerry Osborn, Doug Salveson, C. R. Brown. In 1998, the organization changed its name to The Arts Partnership of Greater Hancock County. The mission was modified to read: To provide, encourage and promote quality arts presentations, educational opportunities and entertainment.Although our organization has grown and changed over the years, the core of our existence has always been to provide arts opportunities that strengthen our community. Increasing the appreciation of art is still one of the goals The Arts Partnership strives to achieve.
The Arts Partnership offers a wide range of arts, education and entertainment opportunities each year. Through our programming and events, we strive to unify the community, provide cultural enrichment, and improve the quality of life for people in Findlay and Hancock County. We continually work to meet the ever-changing needs of our community through soliciting and utilizing feedback and involving community members in the planning of our programs.
