About The Arena and Forum

Both facilities are owned by Broome County (Debra A. Preston, County Executive) and managed, staffed and maintained by The Broome County Department of Parks and Recreation (Robert Fiacco, Deputy Commissioner of Parks & Recreation ).

The Veterans Memorial Arena was built in 1973 as a result of a nationwide design competition. It anchors the downtown area as a center for a wide variety of sports, concerts, expos and family events. Some of the top stars in the world have played the Broome County Arena at one time or another. It continues to provide a constant stream of top-class events to the County and the region.

The Forum Performing Arts Theatre is an historic theater that was converted into the Capri movie theater decades ago. More recently, it was restored to its original theatrical grandeur as The Forum. Behind the scenes, it's a full-equipped, modern theatrical facility that has witnessed many world-class performers and performances. It is home to The Tri-Cities Opera, the Binghamton Philharmonic Pops and The Broadway Theatre League. Click here for a brochure on the historical Robert Morton Theatre Organ in the Forum Theatre.

The Manager of both The Arena and The Forum Theatre is Anthony J. Capozzi. Assistant Manager is Sacha Sigelman-Schwartz.
