Preserving cultural heritage... and our costumed interpreters have the most fun you can have with a hat on! We are a research and resource facility for theatrical productions, colleges & universities, reinactors and historical societies. We literally get research inquiries from around the world.
One of Oregon's most unusual historic homes has been transformed into Portland's quirkiest attraction. The Ladd-Reingold House has a 100-year legacy of milliners and hat fanciers! (We've been bonkers for hats even longer than you have!) For every woman who says "I love hats, I just don't look good in hats." there is a hat in our gift shop for her... along with hat decorating items like scarves, pins, feathers and "hat scrunchies"! There's glitz galore, beaded dresses, books, frames and tiny antiques. Enjoy!
