The Regina A. Quick Center for the Arts opened its doors January 1995 to consolidate the artistic activities of the campus, while creating a regional outlet for culture and expression for Western New York.

Since that time, the programs offered by The Quick Center have grown exponentially, offering a rich cache of resources for academic instruction in the visual and performing arts while also serving as a cultural hub for regional collaboration and thought.

The Quick Center offers a number of resources for the education and entertainment of its varied audiences. The center is comprised of the 321-seat Rigas Family Theater, the F. Donald Kenney Museum & Art Study Wing, art storage areas, and instructional spaces for the visual and performing arts. Included among these instructional areas are a MIDI (musical instrument digital interface) laboratory, instrumental and vocal rehearsal rooms, an art history/slide projection classroom, and a practice room suites.

The Quick Center dedicated the F. Donald Kenney Museum and Art Study Wing on St. Patrick's Day 2000. With this opening came two new galleries, creating a total of four exhibit halls; a prints and drawings/study room and support spaces. Made possible through the generous contribution of the late F. Donald Kenney, a University trustee and arts patron, the new museum and study wing joins the center to create a first-rate facility for the education and entertainment of student and regional audiences.

In September of 2003, the University's encyclopedic art collection was installed on an ongoing basis in the galleries of the Quick Center. These stunning and important works are now available for the University and regional communities to view each and every time they visit the Quick Center.
