The Webb Library
Affectionately known just as ‘The Webb', the Earle W. Webb, Jr. Memorial Library and Civic Center means many things to many people.
A unique public resource, the Webb is conveniently located in the Downtown Historic District of Morehead City, NC, just one block from the Intracoastal Waterway.
The Webb serves the needs of a library, children's education center, community center, civic group meeting location, cultural repository and much more.
Family Fun Nights
Once a month the Webb hosts this event. Join us for an evening of "unplugged" family fun. Bring the whole family to play games, Legos, build puzzles and more. We are asking for a $5 donation per family for pizza. Drinks will be provided.
Today the building is more familiarly called The Webb and provides services for locals and visitors from all over North Carolina and beyond. The book collection has grown to over 13,500 books and there are eight public use computers and one computer dedicated as a catalog. In August 2009, the library celebrated its 75th year of service to the public.
