The Young People's Performing Arts Theatre
The Young People's Performing Arts Theatre was formed in 1981 to enable local dancers from all over Southeast Missouri to participate in a large-scale semi-professional production. This student ballet company is dedicated to stimulating public interest in the art of classical ballet. Since its creation, hundreds of young performers have had the opportunity to work with Kimberly Gavin Anderson in the production of the Nutcracker Ballet.
Young People's Performing Arts Theatre, Inc. is a General Not For Profit Corporation under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. All donations are tax deductible.
The Young People's Performing Arts Theatre, located in Farmington, Missouri, was formed in 1981 to enable local dancers and performers from Southeast Missouri to participate in a Large-Scale Semi-Professional Production. On December 6th, 7th and 8th, 2012 we will celebrate our 19th production of the Nutcracker Ballet. This student ballet is dedicated to stimulating public interest in the art of classical ballet. Since its creation, hundreds of young performers have had the opportunity to work with Artistic Director, Kimberly Gavin Anderson, and perform with professionals from across the country.
