Treasure Island
Treasure and Yerba Buena Islands, often referred to collectively as "former Naval Station Treasure Island" or "Treasure Island", are home to over 2,000 residents as well as commercial tenants, schools, athletic organizations and community serving organizations. The Islands are open for public use and recreation, and TIDA encourages all Bay Area residents and visitors to take advantage of the Islands' spectacular location and recreational amenities. Please be aware that certain appropriately marked areas of the Islands are still considered off-limits to the public due to access limitations, CalTrans construction activity and on-going U.S. Navy environmental analysis activity.
Treasure Island is accessible from San Francisco via the MUNI 108 bus line which departs from the temporary Transbay Terminal located at Howard and Beale Streets in downtown San Francisco. A connecting shuttle from the Treasure Island Front Gate serves limited stops along Macalla Road on Yerba Buena Island.
