Thank You! Your rating has been saved.

Troy-Pike Cultural Arts Center is a cultural complex located in Downtown Troy, Alabama. The Johnson Center for the Arts, "The Annex" and "The Studio" are located on the 300 block of East Walnut Street.

Background

Incorporated on April 15, 2000, The Troy-Pike Cultural Arts Center, Inc., is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization, formed through a grassroots effort by local citizens to renovate the historic (circa 1910) classical-revival styled Troy post office and transform it into a cultural arts center for this community. In 2005, in the midst of fundraising efforts for the Center, our organization purchased a warehouse across the street from the post office, named it The Cultural Arts Studio, and began using it for community art exhibitions and as a rental facility. In 2011 Mr. Corley C. Chapman, Jr., "Brother" donated a building on the same block of the post office. The Annex, as it was named, is used for performing and visual arts education.

About Us

With The Annex, The Studio and the Johnson Center for the Arts we always have something exciting in Downtown Troy. We work each day toward our mission of providing cultural enrichment to our community through exposure to and education in the arts.

We invite you to visit our museum to see world-class exhibitions in our state-of-the-art-facility. The Johnson Center boasts seven galleries and more than 10,000 square feet of exhibition space.

  • The Studio is a renovated warehouse that is across the street from the Johnson Center. It is used as a rental facility for wedding events, corporate events or family reunions.
  • The Annex is used primarily for arts education and is often the home to art classes and performing arts practices.

The Troy-Pike Cultural Arts Center would not be able to serve its community without the dedication and support from local and committed contributors. I thank each artist, volunteer, docent, member, staff member, board member, donor and more for their continued efforts to ensure the cultural enrichment of our community.

Please join us soon!
