The award-winning Utah Museum of Contemporary Art (UMOCA) exhibits groundbreaking artwork by local and international artists in its five gallery spaces, providing an opportunity to explore the human experience in ways that are both exciting and thought-provoking. UMOCA is a hub where the community can explore the contemporary cultural landscape through its exhibitions, films, events, classes and presentations.
Founded in 1931, the Utah Museum of Contemporary Art has been recognized as Best Museum in the State of Utah for 2011 and 2012 and is a four-time recipient of funding from the Andy Warhol Foundation.
The museum is conveniently located downtown just west of City Creek Center, south of Temple Square, north of the Salt Palace Convention Center, and right next to Abravanel Hall.
