Mission:

The Virginia Discovery Museum brings young children and families together to engage minds, excite imaginations and explore the world around them

Admission:

$6 per person, all ages (under 1 year old free)
Children must be accompanied by an adult
Museum Members: Free
ASTC and ACM Reciprocal Members: Free
$0.50 AAA discount per person with card
Handicapped Accessible

Photos:

The Virginia Discovery Museum (VDM) occasionally uses photographs from exhibits and programs for educational and promotional purposes. With admission to VDM or participation in a VDM program, you grant permission for photographs of you and your dependents to be used for those purposes. Names will not be published. If you do not consent and wish to opt out of this policy, please inquire at the front desk or call 434-977-1025.

Parking:

Two hours free parking at Market Street Parking Garage (5th & Market) or Water Street Parking Garage (3rd & Water) with museum validation. Have ticket stamped at front desk. NOTE: GPS address for the Market Street Parking Garage is 500 East Market Street.

Closed for select holidays: New Year's Day, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, the day before Thanksgiving, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day Don't forget . . . we are often open when schools are closed on Snow Days! Just call the Museum
