The Washington County Museum of Fine Arts was founded by Mr. and Mrs. William Henry Singer, Jr. and incorporated in 1929. The Museum has a long and impressive tradition of cultural leadership in the Cumberland Valley region, providing residents and visitors with access to an outstanding Permanent Collection and an active schedule of exhibitions, musical concerts, lectures, films, art classes and special events for children and adults throughout the year.

A series of changing exhibitions in our eleven intimate galleries showcase a collection ranging from Old Masters to works by contemporary artists; however, the major focus is on the highly acclaimed nineteenth and early twentieth-century American Art. Exhibitions are planned from the holdings, private collections and to highlight the art of working artists. Let the visual riches of the Museum come alive for you through art classes, workshops and a diverse range of rotating exhibitions. Experience the priceless treasures of one of the finest regional art museums in the United States.
