Zoo Montana
ZooMontana has been selected as one of twelve recipients out of a pool of over thirty to receive a grant through the Tourism Infrastructure Investment Program (TIIP) for tourism-related facility improvement projects. Other project funded locations include the Bitterroot Valley, Charlo, Cooke City, Hamilton, Helena, Lewistown, Polson, Shelby, Terry, Whitehall and West Yellowstone. ZooMontana will receive $20,231.00 for new interactive exhibits in the facility's Living Wall area, providing visitors access to new wildlife from different biomes of the world.
In addition to becoming new exhibit animals, these new additions will also be part of the zoo's EdZOOcate programs. They will participate in on-grounds programs and travel to schools and other locations for Outreach programming. For more information on these exciting programs, check out the "Learn at the Zoo" and "Bring the Zoo to You" links on the main menu.
Be sure to check back for future progress updates in the upcoming months as we prepare habitats for Emerald Tree Boas and Geckos!
