Schrader Youth Ballet Company (SYBC)
Schrader Youth Ballet Company (SYBC) is a non-profit organization established in 1985 to promote and foster dance in the Parkersburg, WV area. In addition to providing classes and camps for students ages 3 through adult, the company stages performances several times a year. Our studio is located in downtown Parkersburg, at 601 Market Street, just blocks from the Parkersburg Art Center, The Actor's Guild of Parkersburg, and the Historic Smoot Theatre.
The School of the Schrader Youth Ballet is owned and operated by Velma Schrader, who has been teaching dance in the Mid-Ohio Valley for 45 years. Mrs. Schrader is also the founder and artistic director of the SYBC.
SYBC is supported by ticket sales, donations, fundraisers, grants, and tuition. The 2011-2012 season is funded in part by Our Community's Foundation.
SYBC is proud to present our annual production of "The Nutcracker: Clara's Dream". Performances will be held at The Actor's Guild of Parkersburg on Saturday, December 15th at 2PM and 8PM. Pre-performance receptions will be held directly across the street at The Parkersburg Art Center. Ticket prices are $15 for adults and $12 for seniors and students. Tickets will be available at the studio beginning the week after Thanksgiving. Advance ticket purchases are recommended due to limited seating.
