The Children's Museum of the Upstate

Thank You! Your rating has been saved.

One mother had a wish to create a place in Upstate South Carolina where children would be inspired and learn in a hands-on environment. In December 2003, local benefactors donated the former Greenville County Library building and plans for The Children's Museum of the Upstate began to take shape. Having opened July 31, 2009 on the cultural campus of Heritage Green in downtown Greenville, the Museum is committed to serving the needs and interests of all children by providing experiences that stimulate curiosity, stir the imagination, and develop a lifelong love of learning.

The Children's Museum of the Upstate exists to ignite a passion for learning - empowering all children to discover their full potential and expand their view of themselves and the world.

The Board of Directors for The Children's Museum is comprised of community leaders committed to igniting a passion for learning in all children.
